Chemically robust
Thanks to their epoxide chemistry, our membranes can operate at pH 0 - 14, under oxidizing environments, or in solvent streams - without compromising on performance.
Positively charged
The positive surface charge enables the treatment of positively charged substances, without needing resource-intensive cleaning or increased operational pressures.
Precise tunability
Thanks to the high tunability of epoxy chemistry, our membrane performance can be tuned from ultrafiltration all the way to tight nanofiltration.
Our focus: the toughest separations
We want to expand the operational envelope of membranes, and are looking for applications where conventional membranes don't make the cut.

The epoxy platform
Our long-term product vision is to have epoxy membranes suitable for every industry and application. Here are some of the applications we have already investigated.

Lithium upconcentration
Lithium extracted from brine is one of the most common sources of the metal in the world. However, the harsh brine is challenging to treat and dispose of. Epoxy membranes have shown promising results in simplifying the upconcentration.

Extreme pH streams
Standard polyamide membranes degrade quickly under harsh pH conditions. Conversely, epoxy membranes have been exposed to extreme pH for long periods of time, showing no deterioration in their performance or structure.

Metallurgy wastewaters
Wastewaters from the metallurgical industry are some of the toughest to handle, due to their complex mixture of e.g. surfactants, oils or acids. Our membranes survive these environments while allowing for the recovery of key components.
